The Art of Turning Plastic Bottles into Beautiful Flowers

Every day, thousands of plastic bottles end up in landfills across Rwanda. At EcoFlowers, we see these discarded containers not as waste, but as raw material for something beautiful.

Our artisans begin by collecting plastic bottles from communities and recycling centers. The bottles are sorted by color and type, then thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Using specialized cutting tools, the plastic is carefully shaped into petals of various sizes and forms.

Each petal is then heated and molded to create natural-looking curves and textures. The artisans paint and finish each piece by hand, adding details that make every flower unique. Finally, the petals are assembled into complete blooms, often combining different colors and types of recycled materials.

The result is a stunning, everlasting flower that carries a story of transformation. Each eco-flower prevents approximately 2-3 plastic bottles from polluting the environment, while creating sustainable employment for Rwandan artisans.

This process not only creates beautiful products but also raises awareness about the importance of recycling and environmental conservation in our communities.
